We love New Years, a time of good intentions and ringing in the end of the old and the start of the new. So for this particular event, participants dressed to the nines in flower or animal inspired outfits to celebrate well into uh... 2008?

Because at The Last Gate we don't celebrate Valentine's day so much as we mock it, the Tragic Couples Collaboration Contest was started. Participants were asked to pair up and create a tragic couple from literary or historic origins.

The Pastel Palette Contest is just that, a contest that employs a palette that is pastel in nature. All participants were asked to use this palette to create a doll of their choosing.

The Poe Lane Challenge is a two part event. One part Trick or Treating, the other part involved creating a spooky door to greet any victims who dared to go door to door in this neighborhood of death. Winners are as follows because someone (who shall remain nameless) forgot to put names on the awards. Popular Vote: Tropicallili, Steph's Choice: Sawcat, and Tropicallili's Choice: Andrea.

And a gift for all participants made by the fabulous Bexy.

Who Killed Cupid? That is the question and the purpose of this anti-super happy Valentine's event. Don't get us wrong, we adore the one that carries bows, we just don't like him shooting us with his love-laced arrows. Apparently, we were not the only ones with complaints, thus beginning a murder mystery game of sorts.

For this event participants were each given a fortune and had to make a doll inspired by or following the intructions given on his/her fortune.

Awards for the first ever Treasure-arr event, where our reigning terror of the tides and forum mascot retired, looking for a new successor.
